New to Forums, New to Lacy's, New to technology

Well I have been putting it off for awhile but its time for an introduction. My name is Shawn Guernsey my wife is Shannon Guernsey we are going to be first time lacy owners. I am orginally from upstate New York and currently live in Louisiana, I will be FINALLY picking up my puppy from Rachael's litter on thursday or friday. I have been learning everyhting i possiblly could from who i call my mentor (Phil Beck) who is a close family friend and also my neighbor in NY. I have also been reading all the post's on here and talking to everyone and i cant tell you how excited i am to finally get a lacy puppy to call my own! I am not very good at technology (much better with a rifle) so my wife will most likely be posting pictures once we get the puppy. If anyone has any pointers or anything special thier dogs like (ie. Fun games to play with the puppy) i would love to hear it.

+++ Welcome to the world of Lacys from another Lacy owner in Louisiana. With Phil as a guide you will be led in a good direction. I live near St. Martinville in south La. and have 2 Lacy dogs, a red and a tri. Had a blue but she had to be put down because of cancer. If I can be of any help feel free to contact me at any time. I'm retired and usually home most of the time. Good luck with your new pup. +++

Welcome Shawn!   You are getting a jam up pup from Rachael's litter.  Can't wait to see pics and hear newbie stories.  There are a lot of nice folks who are willing to give advice when you need it.

Shawn and Shannon will be headed to Texas in the AM. I think they spent more time with me and Sadie than they did with their parents.

They are very excited and have everything they need to receive their new puppy.

Once Junior has bonded and is settled in to his new home he can get started tracking.

I set Shawn and Shannon up with a puppy pack that consists of squeeze bottles, deer blood, deer liver, meat and a deer hide.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your new puppy...
