    Sailor Will Be Offically Retired

    Sailor will be retired on March 23rd from breeding.  Even though he hasn't sired a litter in over a year now, it will soon be official.  Yep, he is being neutered.....  He won't be fully retired from helping train up pups though.  No, I am not getting another pup right now.

    Sailor still moves and thinks he is a young dog and is always great about allowing a young dog to be thrown in with him at events.  He still will be very valuable showing young dogs the ropes and being part of our family.  He will also get to play with the cattle at the ranch when we need to load them in the shoots.  No more hog hunting for him though.  Just light work in semi controlled enviroments.

    We are still looking forward to many more years with him in our lives.  Party!!!  It is so good to be able to type that, after the scare we had a couple of weeks ago.

    Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.....

    Marlo;

    I'm glad to hear that he's doing ok. We were all really worried about him. I know he's sired lots of the dogs we have today. He's Harlee's great grand dad too.

    Sailor went in on Tues. and I picked him up yesterday morning.  He is doing well and acts like nothing happened.  I even bought him a cone collar, but he hasn't even worried about messing with the area.  Weird for a boy..  I have the collar ready just incase though.

    Thanks for all y'alls care and thoughts for the old man.  He will be with us in May for the funday and expect no one will even know he went through a rough time.  It is like he is fully back to normal.  These Lacy's are pretty tough and hardy to say the least.

    Glad Sailor is doing good and leaving things alone so the healing time want take so long.  Don't know if it is just the men folk I am around but I think it bothers them worse than it does the dog that is loosing things in certain areas! LOL

    I didn't have to use a cone collar for Ace or Luna. Glad Sailor is doing well. :)

    Rod, that is to funny...  Being he has been intact for so long, it still looks like he has his boys...  Someone else joked with me and asked if I was going to get Sailor these:
