We use the Tritronics Sport G3 and love it. E collars are an invaluable training tool.

Recently, I found great discounts on E collars at Cabela's bargin bin. They were marked up to $50 off.

Also keep a check at collar clinic they sell refurbs at big discounts. They also do great repairs on units that are out of warranty IMO.

Thanks for the input Y'all. I ended up ordering the Tri-Tronics Trashbreaker G3 EXP with the tracer lights installed (one white and one red). It should be here tomorrow. Then I'll be doing some video watching and reading before putting one on either of mine. I have ne doubt it will help tweak them up on their commands. Especailly the out and recall commands that they intentionally forget on occasion, hehe.

    Re: E-Collars

Thanks Jeff. I suppose if I decide to trash it you wouldn't mind hauling it off for me? hehe

I took the dogs for a run Sunday night and used the tracer lights only. That's pretty cool for keeping tabs on them through the brush in the dark. Rose did manage to run over a skunk and sent him rolling. Not quick enough to avoid all the spray though. Then she decides she will ride with me a little bit on the mule (wheeled one). She jumped on and I jumped off at the same time. Then she just sat there looking at me like, lets go already. I told her to get off there and she did but she left a light dusting of pepe le pue sauce on the side of the seat. Oh well, more fun that watching re-runs at least.

If your dog chases a rabbit and you call him to you and whip him. Is he getting whipped for chasing rabbits or coming to you? With a shock collar there is no doubt. Tri Tronics is as good as they come for the money. Put a Garmin DC 30 with it and you will know evey track your dog makes and you make and where the pickup is. All very valuble info.
