    NASCAR in the house!

Pearl the pup makes me laugh so hard!  We got her a rubber squeeky pig and Murphy border collie wanted it too.  Only he just pretended to want it.  He would chase Pearl around in a big loop through the house, it was like sitting on the couch watching NASCAR!  He finally started hanging around in a narrow doorway and snagged the pig from her.  She would then zoom around him until he pretended to accidentally drop it and she could grab it, then the chase began again.  They did this for 15 minutes.  If he didn't follow Pearl would circle back and taunt him with the pig.  They play very nicely together.

He also likes to lay by his bowl of food and growl at elderly Emma cattledog, but he lets Pearl eat all she wants!

Lacys are great entertainers.... Jazz and Jones have made me laugh so many times that I have stopped counting.

I'd be careful with that food aggression thing!  Our 5 month old pup is food aggressive and attacked Remi the other day when she came by the groceries of all things.  It turned into a full out brawl...I am now in the slow process of trying to fix this without having to seperate them to different rooms when I feed them.

Murphy never brawls, just growls and only with Emma my other elderly dog.  She is deaf anyway, but I intervene to keep the peace.  Puppy Pearl isn't food aggressive (yet) and we are practicing taking her food and treats away from her, then giving them back when she has no reaction.  I have also started crating Pearl with her food so the older dogs can all eat in peace.

I can do whatever I want with his food...it's other dogs that can't cross his path.  It started out pretty innocent...yeah I would just watch it.

Pups are so much fun to watch.  And it is especially nice when you have an older dog that joins in.  The games that they come up with are mind boggling--it's like "how did they know to do that?"!!

Murphy is a good nanny-dog for Pearl, very gentle with her.  Yesterday I took her to the vet for more shots and then she wasn't feeling good.  Murphy kept tossing her piggie at her but she just wanted to snuggle with me.  But today she is back to her ping-pong ball little self.

I don't think I could ever have just one dog, dogs always seem happiest when there are at least two of them. Last night all 3 dogs were laying on the floor almost touching each other, having quiet time.
